Concepts NREC Professional Development Courses

Courses Focused on Turbomachinery 

Each year Concepts NREC presents a comprehensive turbomachinery educational program with courses scheduled from March through November. Concepts NREC's policy of continuous improvement ensures that courses are completely up-to-date and appropriate for the needs of practicing turbomachinery engineers. Therefore, a course may differ in some details from the information provided here. Also note that new courses may be introduced as requested, and not all the courses described here will be offered annually.

A preliminary announcement of scheduled courses for the upcoming year is published each fall for planning purposes. However, each course is formally announced approximately three months in advance, with full details of the course content and instructors. Please check the course schedule for planned and confirmed course dates and locations.

Registration Fees and Promotional Codes

Standard fees listed with course descriptions are based on course scope and are payable at the time of registration. The course fee includes lecture notes, certificate of attendance, lunch, and refreshments, plus a course textbook (for most courses). Promo codes include:

• CAEAPS: CAE APS companies with membership can send 1 employee per year to a course free of charge. Please note, membership and previous attendance will be verified.
• EARLYREG: $200 off of the registration fee if payment is received three or more weeks prior to the course start date.
• 3PLUS: If more than two participants from the same company are registered for the same course, please use promo code on third and subsequent registrations for a 25% discount.
• CNSTUDENT: A full-time student (excluding University of Vermont students) can save 33% of the registration fee. Proof of student status is required.

Please note that payment with registration reserves space. If a scheduled course is postponed or cancelled, registrants will be informed at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start date. Course enrollment may be cancelled for a full refund if notice to Concepts NREC is received at least two weeks prior to the course start date. For cancellation after this deadline, the course fee may be applied to a future course or the purchase of Concepts NREC publications.
